ReceptionistsOur receptionists ensure your appointment is scheduled appropriately, your insurance information is collected accurately, and that your appointment begins and ends with a warm smile.
Medical AssistantsOur medical assistants are highly trained to confidentially collect your healthcare information and help organize it for your provider. The medical assistants are available to serve as chaperones during your appointment at your request.
Registered NursesOur registered nurses have years of experience in OB/GYN, and are available to answer your telephone calls and emails (via our Patient Portal). Our nurses work with all the physicians and Nurse Practitioners to implement your health care plan.
UltrasonographerWe have a certified medical ultrasonographer to perform ultrasound scans both obstetrical and gynecological. Your physician interprets the images which are obtained from our state of the art ultrasound machine.
PhlebotomistWe have an experienced Lab Corp phlebotomist for in office lab draws. If you need your lab work to be sent to a lab other than Lab Corp let the phlebotomist or medical assistant know and we will send it to the lab of your choice.
Procedure SchedulerWe have a designated staff member to personally work with you to schedule your hospital or in-office surgical procedure.
Certified Nurse PractitionersWe have Certified Nurse Practitioners who focus on health and wellness education. Our nurse practitioners work with the physicians to create an integrated health care team for you. Our nurse practitioners are able to perform health exams and to prescribe medications for many common conditions. Our physicians are always available to provide consultations for our Certified Nurse Practitioners.
Dr. Alan Murnane
Dr. Alan Murnane is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Alan Murnane did his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University and graduated summa cum laude. Dr. Murnane earned his doctorate in medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and did his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. Dr. Murnane serves as the volunteer Medical Director for Pregnancy Decision Health Centers (PDHC) and as a leader for the Mt. Carmel St. Ann's Medical staff. Dr. Murnane is a highly experienced surgeon, with special interest in minimally-invasive vaginal surgery approaches. He is a supporter of Vaginal Birth after Cesarean (VBAC).
Dr. Murnane lives in Westerville with his wife and four children. He is happy to be able to ride his bike to work. Dr. Murnane enjoys gardening, cooking, skiing, and traveling with his family.
Dr. Angela Rouse
Dr. Angela Rouse is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Angela Rouse did her undergraduate studies at Youngstown State University. Dr. Rouse earned her doctorate in medicine at the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, and did her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Akron General Medical Center. As a physician Dr. Rouse's goal is to understand the person as a whole, not just focus on the medical symptoms at hand, which is why she strives to develop a partnership with her patients. Her approach is to work as a team by first listening to the concerns of the patient, then answering questions, and lastly, providing thorough explanation of ALL possible treatment options. She feels that to deliver the best care it is important to choose a treatment plan, which may range from preventative care to surgical management, unique to the stage of life and personal challenges of the woman.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Angela Rouse and her family enjoy the childrens' sporting and school activities. Dr. Rouse likes to experiment in the kitchen and enjoys running, and spending time with friends and family.
Dr. Seretha Ransom
Dr. Seretha Ransom is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Seretha Ransom did her undergraduate studies at The University of Notre Dame and earned her doctorate in medicine at The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. Ransom did her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Greenville Health System in Greenville, SC. As a physician Dr. Ransom’s goal is to provide patient centered care. Starting at the first visit Dr. Ransom makes an effort to understand what her patient’s needs are and works with the patient to create a plan of care that fits these needs. She wants to empower her patient’s to be an active participant in their care; by listening and educating them at each visit about all available treatment options. For Dr. Ransom the best part of being an OBGYN is being able to support women through all stages of life from adolescence, through childbearing and menopause.
Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Seretha Ransom enjoys spending time with her family, learning new dance styles and volunteering in the community.
Dr. Cheryl Lodwick
Dr. Cheryl Lodwick did her undergraduate studies at Florida Southern College and graduated summa cum laude. She then received her doctorate in medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine and went on to complete her residency training at The Ohio State University. While at Ohio State, she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society in recognition of her passion for humanism in medicine. She has special interests in low intervention childbirth, smoking cessation, safe infant sleep, and is an advocate for increasing awareness of Human Trafficking and its impact on our central Ohio community. One of her greatest passions is to empower her patients to establish healthy lifestyle habits. "I love the team spirit of setting goals together, and then celebrating together when a patient meets and exceeds her personal goals. Healthy mothers set the tone for their homes. This is a powerful way for us to have a positive impact on the next generation, as we continue to work towards decreasing our rates of childhood obesity and early onset diabetes."
Dr. Lodwick is married to Dr. Daniel Lodwick, who is currently working to complete his residency in General Surgery at The Ohio State University, with plans to continue on to fellowship in pediatric surgery. She has three children, and when not working, enjoys baking, biking, traveling, and spending time with her boys.
Dr. Justin Himler
Dr. Justin Himler completed his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University, where he earned his degree in biochemistry. He then earned his doctorate at the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He went on to complete his residency training at MetroHealth Medical Center – Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio where he was elected chief resident. He has a strong interest in preventative medicine, working together with his patients to foster a healthy lifestyle and achieve a healthy pregnancy. Part of what makes the field so rewarding to him is the opportunity it provides to attend to and care for his patients throughout every phase of life. He also has an interest in the minimally invasive approach to surgery, specifically laparoscopy.
When not at work, Dr. Himler enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Mona Adeli, who is currently in the midst her training in ophthalmology at The Ohio State University. In his free time, he enjoys reading, golfing, Buckeye football, and staying active.
Katherine Elliot is a Certified Nurse Practitioner, with a master’s degree in nursing. Katie joined Westar OB/GYN in October of 2005. Katie is passionate about health and wellness education. She helps the physicians develop a comprehensive plan of care for all prenatal patients. You are able to see Katie during your first trimester of pregnancy and throughout pregnancy unless you develop high-risk factors. Because Katie is a trained family nurse practitioner her women’s wellness exam takes a whole body approach.
When Katie is not in the office she and her family live an active life in Sunbury, Ohio. Katie enjoys playing and coaching soccer for Big Walnut Heroes Soccer. Katie and her children support Big Walnut Relay for Life.
Eileen Sirois, CNM
Eileen graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1981. She obtained a Master of Science in Midwifery from the University of Utah in 1990. Since then she has been practicing full scope midwifery both in military and civilian practices. Her accomplishments include; the Ohio Exemplary Midwife Award in 2003, Chair of the NW Ohio chapter of the American College of Nurse-midwives and one term as the ACNM legislative liaison for Ohio. She has a special interest and intensive training in natural fertility regulation and is certified as a Creighton Model Fertility Care Practitioner/medical consultant. Eileen enjoys helping couples manage their fertility without drugs and devices. She is a life member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives and the American Academy of Fertility Care Professionals.
She retired from the Navy in 2012 after 20 years of military service. She and her husband, Rick, moved back to Ohio in 2013 to be near their adult children and four grandchildren, and she especially values spending time with them at their cabin in the country.
